Select Markets Can Soon Fly Directly into Gulf Shores
Visitors from Atlanta, Nashville, and Baton Rouge will soon have the option to fly directly into Gulf Shores. Southeast Beach Express, operated by Ultimate Jetcharters, begins direct jet shuttle service into Jack Edwards Airport this June, and features 30-seat executive jets, hassle-free security screening through executive terminals, and no-cost luggage (including golf clubs and fishing gear).
FREE Disability Training for Partners
Tourism All-a-Bama, an Alabama Council on Developmental Disabilities program, offers free statewide training to assist lodging partners in better serving travelers with sensory sensitivities and those on the autism spectrum. Upon completion of training, properties will be identified as being Tourism ALL-a-Bama sensory inclusive. The first 150 properties to complete the training will receive a free sensory kit for guests traveling with a loved one on the autism spectrum. Training sessions are currently being scheduled virtually or in person across the state. To schedule your training, contact Leslie Walker.
Baldwin Center for Business Development
The Gateway Initiative has opened a one-stop-shop for local businesses and education partners to train people in many thriving industries such as hospitality and tourism, construction, healthcare and manufacturing. Contact Ed Bushaw for more information on upcoming programs.
